The syllabus places greater emphasis on developing strength, control, coordination and musicality, preparing students for the demands of vocational ballet training and the RAD Advanced 1 level. The syllabus introduces core movements such as pliés, battements, rises, small jumps and basic travelling steps, while developing correct posture, alignment, turnout and coordination of the arms and legs. Students also begin to work with more structured exercises and musical phrasing, building the technical foundation and discipline needed to progress through the higher RAD grades. | Sunday 3:15PM - 4:30PM | BALLET GRADE 6 kids | RAD Grade 6 Ballet marks a significant step towards more advanced ballet training, with greater emphasis on technical strength, control and stamina. Students develop more demanding allegro and turning work, including increased elevation, more complex pirouette combinations and faster changes of direction, alongside deeper work in adage, battements and sustained balances. The syllabus requires students to coordinate movements with greater precision and consistency, while developing stronger performance quality and musical interpretation. Grade 6 also serves as an important preparation stage for students progressing towards Grades 7 and 8 or considering the transition into the RAD vocational pathway.
